This Winchester M70 Cal .270 was mfg abt 1950 and for those of you looking for a true classsic this one might qualify. It doesn't have any stock flaking, cracks or dings. The overal gun to me is about 96%
It appears in excellent condition, by NRA Standards. Also the bluing is Excellent (abt 97%).
The bore is bright w/excellent rifling (See Pic) . The receiver is also 97% w/no edge wear around the chamber,the Trigger Guard & drop plate are the same. This M70 has had excellent care & it's condition, to me is rare among these M70's for this period. The action is normal. The bolt is numbered to the firearm.
I would rate this as an NRA Excellent Winchester M70 & the nicest one that I've ever come across for this period.
