What Supica calls the "original 4 screw 5 screw" made before the trigger tension screw was added to the K frame. Smith's very first .38 Special revolver. This one was factory refinished in December 1947 and is so marked with a star on butt and 12.47 on grip frame. Breech face looks like it wasn't fired much after refinish. Bore, timing and lock up all excellent. Comes with a Brauer Bros. "Moose Brand" holster, also in great condition, except some fast draw pistolero put a tie-down hole at very bottom. Shipping $25.
