Description:
1st Model M&P made ca. 1900 (ser. 1023X).  What Supica calls the "original 4 screw 5 screw" made before the trigger tension screw was added to the K frame.  Smith's very first .38 Special revolver.  This one was factory refinished in December 1947 and is so marked with a star on butt and 12.47 on grip frame.  Breech face looks like it wasn't fired much after refinish.  Finish and markings are excellent, except for freckling on cylinder (see photos). Very little color left on hammer and trigger.  Hard rubber grips, of which one has faded to olive.  Bore, timing and lock up all excellent.  Comes with a Brauer Bros. "Moose Brand" holster, also in great condition, except some fast draw pistolero put a tie-down hole at very bottom.  Shipping $25.
