Description:
This Military Surplus National Postal Meter M1 Carbine was one of approximately 413,017 guns manufactured by this company and shipped between February 1943 and April 1944 to our Armed Forces. National Postal Meter, previously known as Rochester Defense Corporation, was one of ten major contractors building the M1 during this time. The top of the receiver is marked "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M1" on the front and "NATIONAL / POSTAL METER / 4301734" on the rear. The barrel is marked "ROCK-OLA" as well as "6-43". Other features include a Type IV magazine release is marked "M" on the face, rotating safety is marked "M", round bolt, type III barrel band is marked "mmq", front sight marked RIA. The Type II rear sight is marked "HI", unmarked sling, no marking found on the stock. This also comes with 3 magazines, ((1) 30rd marked SEY, (1) 30rd marked M2 and (1) 15rd marked U. .30 Carbine
