EXCELLENT BEST GRADE HOLLAND & HOLLAND SIDE LEVER AUTOMATIC EJECTOR ROOK AND RABBIT SINGLE SHOT OCTAGON 26” RIFLE CIRCA 1890’S. .295 Rook cal. conversion to .38 Special marked on left flat at breech “38 SPL.”. Barrel engraved “HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98 NEW BOND ST. LONDON” and “WINNERS OF ALL THE FIELD RIFLE TRIALS”. London fine scroll engraved frame and mounts. Matted rib barrel with two leaf Express rear and blade front sights. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with steel pistol grip cap shotgun butt plate. Checkered forend with horn forend cap. Extra nice all original finish with 85-90% blue on barrel and 50-60% case colors on frame and lever. Very tight working order and mint bore with extra sharp rifling. Very nice example.
