Description:
Belgian Folding Trigger Double Action Pinfire Revolver, #620, 7.65mm, 3.5" ribbed barrel, blade front and fixed rear sights, nickel finish, light engraving, 6-shot unfluted cylinder, smooth wood two-piece grips, folding trigger. Revolver is in good overall condition retaining significant original nickel finish, having gone to an even gray patina with small mars and light surface erosion. Front grip strap shows significant loss of flaking finish and light surface rust. There is approx. 25%-30% coverage in light scroll engraving with a crisp Leige proof of a "(crown)/R" on the left side of the frame, just ahead of the serial number. There are two additional marks on the right barrel lug which are illegible. Smooth wood grips are good with numerous dents and mars. Grips are proud to the wood due to shrinkage. Bore is fair with scattered roughness and visible rifling. Action works well and the timing is good on this Belgian pinfire circa 1860-1870.
