This is an completly unmolested vintage beauty (save for the addition of a recoil pad). One of two gun that came from the estate of what i think we were told was a fine gentleman; a Country Doctor in Beautiful Vermont. His son from whom we purchased this and another rifle told us that his dad also had many fine bird guns that would have been used to hunth partridge in the hills of Northern New England, sadly we missed those. This gun shows evidenc of only very light use and excellent care. Not many FW's (Pre 64 Featherweights) were chambered in 30 06, most were in shorter action lengths; 243, 308 and a handful in 264...(we are expecting a 264 FW in the orig box sometime in the near future..inquire)
