PERSIAN BONE HILTED BAYONET DAGGER AND TOOLED LEATHER SCABBARD CIRCA 1850’S-60’S. 16” o/a with 11” blade made from a European triangular blade socket bayonet fitted with nicely formed ox bone hilt and with a leather covered wood scabbard tooled with Persian geometric and floral decoration. For similar scabbard see Tirri’s “ISLAMIC WEAPONS” page 209, fig.146A. Excellent all original condition.
