Fresh From A Kentucky Estate! Vietnam Era Gerber Mark II Combat Knife. Introduced In Late 1966, Retired US Colonel Bud Holzmann Wanted The US Troops In South East Asia To Have A Superior Fighting Kinfe Available To Them. He Approached Gerber With His Design And The Mark II Was "Born"
These Knifes Were Very Popular With US Servicemen During Vietnam. Most Early Examples Were Sent To PX's Across The Country.
This Example #12071 Was Manufactured In Early 1969. Overall Condition Is Excellent. Has Been Carried. Leather Is Supple. Blade Has a Few Areas Of Etching But Overall Good. These Are Becoming Quite Collectable And Always Hard To Find In Good Condition.
