Description:
This WWI vintage semi-automatic striker fired pistol is a Waffenfabrik Mauser A.-G. Oberndorf A.N. Model 1914 chambered in 7.65 mm. It has matching serial numbers on left side of slide and at rear of receiver frame. The number "9624" is stamped on the under side of the frame adjacent to the trigger. It has a left side two-stage thumb safety lever with safety release button. It appears this pistol was manufactured in 1916 and purchased by the Hamburg Police in 1917. In the panel on the right side of the frame it is marked: "P.B. Hbg. No 140." It also appears that this is a "Third Variant" Model 1914. The slide has 9 serrations. The metal has a great patina, however with very little bluing remaining, but no observable rust, freckling, or pitting. The diamond checkered wood grips also show a super patina, and there are no observable chips or cracks. This pistol comes with a WW II era dark brown leather holster and a single magazine. 7.65MM (.32 ACP)
