Description:
A. Francotte Patent Boxlock Ejector Game Gun in 12 Gauge. This Coin finished boxlock action features nonautomatic safety, hidden third fastener, and double triggers (front articulated). The action is engraved with geometric & acanthus borders. Nicely fiddle figured and lightly streaked European walnut swan neck buttstock measures 13 7/8 inches over checkered wood butt on 1/2-inch wood Butt plate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. A vacant brass oval and sling attachment point are on toeline. The 26 1/2" dovetailed barrels have a matted game rib that are engraved "Aug. Francotte Brevete 'A Liege" "FAIT" "POUR" "E. MAYOR-GENEVE" on tops. Barrel flats stamped with 1950 Belgian Nitro proofs for 2 3/4 inches. 12 Gauge
