Description:
This is a Walther PP that was issued to the SS in 1940. It is all matching, in a serial number block of other SS-issued guns, and has a properly numbered slide. It comes as a rig with an black leather SS holster (with black stitching) and a numbered but mismatched SS magazine in the same serial range. The top stitching on the holster belt loop has been replaced. The caliber designation on the magazine has a neat factory over-stamp it was originally labeled 9mm but changed to 7.65mm. The gun itself has lost most of its original high polish with obvious wear throughout. Areas of pin-pricking on the slide and on the grip straps. Fitted with nice period-correct black bakelite grips - small chip along the top edge of the left panel. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor frosting throughout. De-cocker is not functional.
