Description:
This is an interesting Mauser K98 from 1943 that was built into a short side rail sniper. The original rifle has all matching numbers, including the stock. The mounts are postwar are force matched to the rifle. The scope is a postwar commercial 4x81 example that is marked Hildesheim Rudiger and has clear optics. The finish on the rifle is mostly original, though the bands may be refinished. It shows general thinning on the barrel and receiver, and obvious wear/oxidation on the buttplate. The stock has the Mauser inspection stamp and no cracks. Excellent bore. The rifle comes with sight hood, cleaning rod and leather sling.
