Made in 1955 this AyA Model 51 sidelock ejector has 28” barrels with 2-3/4” chambers. AyA Model 51’s are pretty hard to find. They combine the hidden third fastener of a Model 53 with engraving similar to an AyA No. 2. The frame is case colored and has hand detachable sidelocks. The double triggers have a front articulated trigger with a rolled edge trigger guard. All hallmarks of a high grade gun. Weight is 7 lb 2 oz. Bluing on the barrels is very good with just a few small scratches from normal usage. It has a raised solid cross hatched rib. The right barrel has a constriction of 0.010 for a Modified choke. The left barrel has a constriction of 0.002 for Skeet choke. The straight grip stock is nicely figured and has a splinter forearm. Stock dimensions are 1-1/4” by 1 7/8” by 15-1/4” over a 1" recoil pad. I replaced the stock a short wile ago with a nicely figured walnut with a HAND RUBBED OIL FINISH. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection period and will only accept returns at buyer’s expense if the gun is not as described in the listing.
