Description:
***SOLD*** Among the finest I have had of this scarce caliber/configuration. This is a beautiful example of an early post WWII Model 70 "transition" era rifle in 220 Swift caliber. These were only made from 1946-48 and like this one, most will retain the Pre war clover leaf shaped receiver tang and incorporate a unique "clam shell" or "rabbit's foot" safety lever used only during this brief production period. The S/N of this one is 77787 with matching scribed bolt made in 1948.
It is in exceptional condition for its 75 years, showing 98% original finishes throughout with only scattered light handling marks here or there. The bore and throat look perfect and all mechanical functions are crisp and as smooth as silk. A wonderful rifle that you would be hard pressed to ever upgrade, especially in a Swift.
Expedited and fully insured shipping from Alaska to your receiving FFL dealer is $100.
