Description:
This is a Beretta SO 3 EL in very nice condition. It has 28" barrels that are choked Full & Modified and the bores are bright and shiny with chambers that are 2-3/4" long. This beautiful, classic, high grade Beretta comes in the factory leather Beretta case with brass hardware, a Beretta tool, computer punch cards, warranty card and ad description. Made in 1971 (XX7) this Beretta Sovrapposto (SO) or Superposed in English, Sidelock Ejector Model and was engraved by master Beretta engraver Caudito and sign near the trigger guard. The barrels are Boehler Antinit steel with a Hand Knurled Solid Rib at .724 diameter with chokes of .022 & .033" (Mod & Full), 1.365 KG weight barrels, single SELECTIVE trigger, game forend, pistol grip stock at 14-5/8" x 1-5/16" x 2-1/8" nicely checkered butt, slight cast-off for the right hand. It weighs 7 lbs. 7 oz., It has a nicely figured piece of wood with brown streaks of color contrast. It has 100% coverage of wonderful floral engraving with flowers and vines done very well. This gun has a discrete cocking indicator, replaceable locking shoulders on the barrel, which secure key screws on the frame, forend and trigger guard, All lettering is sharp and well done. The buttstock finish remains in 94% condition or so with light handling marks only. The checkering is original and is 98%. It remains a very functionally mechanical gun in every respect. This beautiful gun is a super quality Sidelock that has at least 94-95% of its life left for the balance of your shooting needs.
