This is a very handsome, 1906-made rifle that has a special order barrel and button magazine. The metal retains 90-95% of the original blue finish on the barrel and frame, with some gray fading at the muzzle, as well as further gray fading on the exposed edges and underside of the frame. Additionally, about 50-60% of the muted, original color case-hardening can still be seen on the lever and hammer. The walnut forend and buttstock are in very good shape, with some minor handling marks scattered about the original oil finish. The action is tight and fully functional. This is a fine-excellent example of a beautiful special order Model 1894, and is chambered in a very desirable caliber. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
