Description:
This is a Swiss Model 1842/59 Percussion Rifle Bayonet in excellent condition with a 18" blade, 7/8" wide, 1 1/2" shank, 2 5/8" socket with a .862" bore. The socket is clearly marked ZHS ZURICH 172. and no other marks. The surface has light age soiling scattered light oxidation. Both rifle and bayonet are extremely rare in the states.
