Boxlocks - It is often thought Boss never produced any boxlocks, but in fact they did. On page 188 of "Boss & Co., Builders of the Best Guns Only" the author, Donald Dallas said:
"Before World War I the British market was dominant, but this changed to the American market after the war. Some boxlocks were produced for the first time in the history of the firm. These boxlocks, of superb quality, were usually sold bearing the name "Robertson.""
Our example, dating from circa 1938, is a fine and extremely rare in 16g. rare example of the Boss "Robertson" boxlock\'s. Tight as a tick and field ready.
