Description:
26 part octagon barrel. Of the period sights including a folding tang sight. Wood retains a fair amount of original varnish complete with a rifle style buttplate. Mechanical condition is excellent. It comes with 2 boxes of re-loaded 40-70 cartridges with the correct thick style head that the Maynard required. The previous owner stated that he shot this gun a lot and it shoots great. Metal condition is very good with an extra dovetail in the barrel that has been filled. Traces of case color on the receiver and hammer. A sharp little gun that should make for a fun shooter.
