Here is an honest Marlin Model 336 RC chambered in .30-30 Winchester. Manufactured in 1948, this 336 features a 20" JM stamped barrel, gloss blue finish, smooth walnut stock/forend, fixed front sight with gold bead, and elevation adjustable rear sight. This 336 retains much of its original gloss blue finish but shows various scattered handling marks, high-edge wear, and slight thinning in some spots. The smooth walnut stock and forend are in good overall condition and show signs of honest handling wear and scattered light surface marks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and shows faint pitting near the muzzle. The action is just as you would expect from an older 336, smooth with no play and a positive lock-up. All the factory markings are crisp and the controls function flawlessly. The Marlin 336 has stood the test of time and this rifle would serve generations to come as a "go-to" hunting rifle. Sorry, no box or paperwork with this one.
