It was built in 1970 to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the model 39 rifle .
The Century Limited was built EXACTLY as the original 39. THIS IS A 39! . This gun shows no sign of ever being fired. These guns are very accurate and operate much quieter than other lever guns. That's important if you hunt.
I've been squirrel hunting with my 39 CL for over 50 years. It's never failed, or jamed and still puts three rounds in the same hole at 30 yds.(from a rest). I added a spur and ramp so it would be ready for a scope if wanted. I use a scope. You know the old saying, " They don't make'em any more like they used to". Well , there's several companies making 22 lever guns today but NOBODY but NOBODY makes one even close to the 39 CL !
