This 1993 double action single action revolver is a Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. Detective Special chambered in .38 Special. This fourth issue revolver from Colt was manufactured from 1993 to 1996. It has a fixed matte ramp front sight, an integrated groove rear sight, a shrouded extractor rod, a swing out cylinder, and Translucent Kirinite® Pearl white grip panels. The high gloss bluing is in excellent condition. Likewise, the grip panels are in excellent condition. When first released in 1927, the Colt Detective Special was intended for pretty much exactly what the name implies: a small frame double action revolver in the considerably powerful .38 Special caliber that could be concealed by detectives, plain clothes police officers, or average citizens. .38 Special
