Description:
This Winchester Model 71 was manufactured in 1942 and remains in excellent overall condition. Wood is solid with very few detracting marks. Bottom of butt shows some dark stain that has creeped into wood, most likely from blue on butt plate. Right side of butt stock has a 1" mark in wood with a "1" and "2" faintly visible above mark. Barrel still retains original blue, even though it has faded to a lighter shade. Receiver still remains bright with a few light scratches. Metal has been coated with a coat of protective finish and is flaking in some places like magazine tube and lever. Bore is excellent. This gun has original hooded post & bead front sight with a rear tang peep sight. Very nice rifle in .348 W.C.F.! .348 Winchester
