Description:
The HK 512 was developed and produced circa the 1970s-1980s by Franchi as the first semi-automatic shotgun developed for law enforcement use. Adopted by German law enforcement and counter-terrorism units such as GSG9, these shotguns were sold in limited quantities in the United States (a total of approximately 1,500 made with only 343 Imported into the U.S.). The shotguns were imported and sold by Kiesler Police Supply of Jeffersonville, Indiana. This shotgun is marked "K.P.S. JEFF, IN." and "FRANCHI ITALY" on the left side of the receiver as well as numbered "UNM1301" on the left side of the barrel. Features a shot diverter designed to fire oval-shaped shot patterns and can be adjusted for both vertical and horizontal distribution. 18 Inch Barrel, 20 Inches with diverter, LOP:14 1/4" and chambered 12 Gauge, 2 3/4" chamber. According to the original owner, who purchased it new, the gun was factory test fired only and is in excellent/like new condition. It retains 98+% original finish on the metal, with most loss on the diverter, from being factory test fired. The stock and forearm retain all their original finishes, with only a few minor handling marks. The bore looks new and the action functions the same. Comes with a manual, sorry, no box.
