Description:
This Yugoslavia made bolt action rifle is a Zavodi Crvena Zastava (ZCZ) M70 Standard imported by ATI and chambered in 8X57. It has a Mauser 98 style action, double set triggers, a diamond checkered pattern fore arm, a diamond checkered pistol grip, Monte Carlo check rest stock and a Factory ZCZ hard plastic butt plate. The barrel and receiver are finished in a finely polished blue, and the stock is made of high quality European walnut, that features a matte oil finish. The receiver is drilled and tapped for bases. These rifles are one of the most popular sporting rifles available on the commercial market in Europe. The most unique feature of these rifles are their double set triggers. This feature is not something often seen on more "Americanized" rifles. This system works by pulling the rear trigger to "set" the front trigger. This allows for a very light and crisp pull of the front trigger for making that precise shot in the field. The front trigger can also be used like a conventional two-stage if you do not wish to utilize the "set" function of the rear trigger. There is significant bluing loss at top end of barrel, some freckling throughout barrel and receiver area. The wood has an overall great patina, showing considerable light to moderate handling wear/marks. There is a single finger nail-sized chip at bottom by the butt plate but no observable cracks. 8X57
