NSN, circa 1871-1872, 50-70, 36"" round barrel. Barrel and receiver have been cleaned to the bright. Scattered surface discoloration is visible. Bore is very good with frosting present in the grooves. Rifling remains strong. Right side of the receiver is marked ""Eagle/US/SPRINGFIELD/1872"" Opposite side is stamped ""MODEL 1871"" Stock is very good with light wear visible, handsome cartouche is noted left side. Action functions correctly.
