Description:
Confederate Enfield musket imported for the state of Georgia (but confiscated at port by CS government).   This one is in well used shape but a great representative of a Confederate musket at a very good price.   Rear sight missing in action but has been missing for some time (see picture... you would never know one was there), rear barrel band has been modified to serve as a rear sight.   The "G" stamping is visible but any other markings on the wood are faint or missing due to wear.  If you have a copy of "The English Connection" (must have) you will find that this variant did not have engraved serial numbers on tang (nor on the ramrod), but rather stamped numbers on the buttplate toe just as this one does.    Pictures should tell the story on this one, but if you have any questions or want additional pictures just let me know.
