Description:
All original and well used M1859 brass mounted Sharps carbine. This one is undoubtedly one of the ones purchased by the state of Georgia due to no evidence of martial marks and late production (serial number 35912) . Early brass mounted sharps are often found with cartouches and other martially marked parts. Pictures show the wear and condition. Serial number is very faint on tang, but it is there and barrel serial number matches. Wood is in good shape but the forestock has a minor crack on the left side that was repaired at one time. A true survivor
