Description:
This is one of the earliest Universal M1 G.I. Model Carbine examples made by Universal after the Korean war, When this rifle was made, Universal designed the gun to be built using USGI parts.... Not long after ( about serial number 8000) changes were made that precluded the use of GI parts. ( slides, trigger housings, etc ) This rifle is in the original configuration as manufactured, including the original stock and handguard. The barrel has a small amount of very light corrosion in a few spots, but does not appear to go thru the finish. I think that this rifle was made pre 1966 ?? , just from what I have read. I believe that it will take any GI parts, should you need one.
