Description:
For sale, one World War II era Remington '03, serial number 3175009. I bought this rifle decades ago, and it has been a wonderful gun to own and shoot. All Remington parts. This gun has been through aresnal rehab, as I cannot see any stock markings. The gun does have the square cut in front retainner spring, which tells me that it is a Remington. The barrel guages as 1.5, and has been shot a little bit. The barrel is dated 06-42 and the gun was probably assembled on 08-19-1942. This is an early Remington, being that 348,088 Remington 03's were produced before transitioning to the 03-A3 (approximately 1,000,000 units produced). I did not shoot this gun much, but it shot well.
The metal and wood are in good condition, with wear and patina consistent with this gun's age (please refer to photographs). I am selling this gun for $1500 with $80.00 shipping and handling (total cost of $1580) I will consider reasonable offers, and am willing to discuss this firearm with any potential purchasers.
