Description:
Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) marked Lange Pistole 08 (LP 08) (Artillery Luger) chambered in 9mm Luger. Adopted in 1913 by the Imperial German Army initially for use by Artillery units, but later adopted by other specialty units on the Western Front in the First World War. The pistol appears to have all matching serial numbers with a stamped initial manufacture date of 1917. A subsequent stamped date of 1920 would suggest that it started its life as a standard P 08 and was converted by the German Army to an Artillery model in 1920. 9mm Luger
