Here we present an antique French Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol, made circa the early 1800s. In a day when firearms were universally muzzle-loaded and mostly single-shot this little twin-barreled flintlock would have had an advantage. It has a short overall length and quite wide to accommodate the .40 caliber barrels. The stock is nicely carved to meet the metalwork throughout and includes a floral detail at the top.
The overall condition is very good. Original patina. The actions are excellent. The bores are smooth and patinated. The stock is solid and beautifully carved.
