American Standard Tool Company, Newark, New Jersey, Single Action Pocket Revolver (Derringer), serial number 9,125 (barrel, cylinder, and frame under the left grip). .22 caliber (short), 3.125-inch octaganol barrel marked: AMERICAN STANDARD TOOL CO. NEWAR.K, N.J. Overall bluish gray patina on case=hardened metal parts are in exceptional condition. Brass frame is in exceptional condition..Cylinder proprerly rotates with spur trigger action and cartridge bores are very fine.. Hammer is in exceptional condition with a very fine firing pin,.The barrel bore is excellent and shows exceptional grooving. Two piece walnut grips has most of the orignal varnish remaining and are in exceptional condition. This revolver was manufactured in 1869-70 as one of about 40,000 weapons before the company went defunct in 1873. This weapon is fully functional and has recently been fired and cleaned.
