Description:
For sale is a Marlin Model '97. This rifle has been well used but not abused. The forend and stock have the usual dents, but is in the original finish. The barrel as well retains its original blueing with only faint areas turning to plum. Even under the forend I saw no speckling. However the casehardening is all but gone on the action. The bore is fantastic with very sharp rifling. I had thought the front sight was a bubba creation, but after looking at other listings and images online, it is likely original. The buttplate is also in great condition. It shoots and functions as it should.
