Description:
24 inch barrel and magazine tube are a brown/gray patina. Very good markings and bore. Brass blade front and folding ladder rear sights. The receiver and forend cap on this old gun have aged evenly to a beautiful rich dark caramel patina. The sideplates fit perfectly. Good looking walnut stock with a well done repair at the wrist. Wood has been freshened up some and is a little bit undersized especially in the wrist area. Correct brass rifle style buttplate and sling swivels. Overall a great looking gun! 35,XXX serial number range made in 1870.
