Description:
Husgvarna M38 chambered in 6.5x55 Swede. The Model 1938 rifle was adopted in 1938 as a shortened version of the 1896 rifle. The rifle was initally created by converting 1896 rifles. In 1942, new production of the Model 1938 began and a total of both converted and new production rifles was 143,000. The Model 38 was updated with a shorter barrel and shorter-range rear sights. New production M38's had a turned down bolt handle while the converted models had straight bolt handles. Includes bayonet. 6.5 SWEDE
