Description:
The development of the "Jungle Carbine" dates to late World War II when the British determined that a short rifle was needed for combat in close cover. It is base on the No.4 and features a shorter barrel and abbreviated stock. The most obvious change being the addition of the flash hider. This one was manufactured in 1945 and appears to have seen some service as the wood is a bit dinged up. The bore is in amazingly good condition, especially considering the cordite loads and corrosive primers in use at the time. .303 British
