Description:
1850s PENNSYLVANIA LONG RIFLE WE ROBBINS .45 Engraved German Silver Antique

HALF STOCK Rifle with P.S. NEWTON Lock

Here we present an antique W.E. Robbins Long Rifle, manufactured in Manesburg, Pennsylvania circa the mid-1800s. Robbins was a maker of fine rifles in Pennsylvania from 1847 through the start of the Civil War in 1861. Its stout octagonal barrel is in .45 caliber, large enough to take medium to large game and defend oneself on the frontier. Double set triggers. Finely engraved German silver hardware throughout.

The overall condition is good. The finish has matured to a brown patina. Robust action. The bore is in good shape for its age. Solid stock. A mounting screw is missing from the trigger guard. Markings are sharp. Some metal parts have been lightly engraved. “W.E. ROBBINS” signed barrel. The front ramrod lug is presently detached from the barrel.

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 32-1/8 inches.

Caliber: .45 Percussion

Overall condition as seen in photos.
