Description:
WORLD WAR II German “BLACK WIDOW” MAUSER byf Code “41” LUGER Pistol 9x19mm

Famous Third Reich Sidearm!

Here we present a C&R Mauser Black Widow “byf” “41” Code Luger Pistol with a Holster by Otto Graf, made in 1941. Based on Hugo Borchardt’s novel design of a semi-automatic pistol, the “Luger” pistol was designed by Georg Luger, the man tasked with taking an awkward, cumbersome and expensive pistol and making it into one of the world’s most iconic firearms of all time. The Model P08 was adopted by Germany and was used through both WWI and WWII.

This P.08 features the double WaffenAmt “Eagle/655” and “Eagle” marked on the right side of the frame. It has a dark blued finish throughout, including the small parts. Only about 25,000 of these were made in this configuration.

The overall condition is near fine. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The numbers match throughout. Both magazines are marked “P.08” with “eagle/37” and “fxo” stamps. The magazine pictured in the gun has a black base while the spare has an aluminum base that is numbered to a different gun. The grips are resin replacements that remain in very good condition. The holster is in overall very good shape with the main fault being the buckle strap having separated. The holster is marked “bcb/41” on the back side, and was made by Otto Graf in Leipzig. The holster is also marked “P.08” and “WaA170”. A great example of a scarce German pistol and holster!
