Description:
This right hand bolt action rifle is a Weatherby (Howa) Vanguard chambered in 6.5 - 300 Weatherby Magnum. It has a right side three position rocker switch thumb safety, swivel stud posts top and bottom, a soft black rubber inset gripper fore arm, a soft black rubber inset gripper pistol grip, a thick soft black Weatherby butt pad, and a slightly swept back, textured bolt handle. It has a hinged floor plate, a one-piece machined bolt body, an adjustable match quality two-stage serrated trigger, and a fluted bolt body. The overall bluing is in very good condition, with some very light loss at muzzle and at the sharp edges of the receiver. The green synthetic stock is in very good condition, with some barely noticeable light handling wear in a few places. Developed to take advantage of the extremely accurate 6.5mm bullet, the 6.5-300 is a 300 WBY case necked down from .30 caliber to 6.5mm. The result is the fastest 6.5mm cartridge on the market pushing a 140 gr bullet at over 3400 fps. All Vanguard rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99" or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA). 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum
