Description:
This Browning Bar is a special order by Jose Baerten in 30-06. Made in 1978, it does not have the Browning markings but Fabrique Nationale instead.
It is not a variation of a grade iv. The firearms is completely hand engraved. The stippled floral scroll work on sides and top and bottom is similar to that of a grade V. Each side features 3 animals (either deer or big horn sheep). The wood is highly figured and oil finsihed. No sling swivel studs but a greyed and engraved forend screw. This came from a local doctors estate and is unfired and like new.
For the bar collector who has almost everything.
