Description:
F/S, No Trades - Ten Day Sale Reduction. - Expires soon. Alexander Martin 12 ga SxS 27 inch barrels. This is a Post War gun in excellent restored condition. Chambers have been changed to 2 3/4 inch with lengthened forcing cones. Initial proof for 1 1/8 ounce loads. The right barrel has installed a Briley IC Thin Wall choke. Another Thin Wall LM is included. The left barrel is fixed choked of IM. The European Walnut stock has a beautiful figure with a reddish alkanet hue. There are no handling marks anywhere on the wood or metal. LOP is 14 7/8" to a Decelerator pad. DAC is 1 1/4", DAH is 1 7/8", cast off of 3/8". Weight is 6 pounds, 8 ounces. The gun is regulated right on POA.
Alex Martin was a renouned Scottish gunmaker from Glasgow. The full rib is inscribed " Alex Martin 20 Royal Exchange Square. Glasgow. Also Edinburgh. & Stirling". The barrels have been previously re-blackened and show no wear on the satin finish. A miniscule old surface i pit is visible on the left barrel exterior,o at the left breech. This gun was likely imported by a previous owner , as there is no importer stamping anywhere to be found. This gun is a delight to carry in the upland fields and is offered at $1695 plus actual shipping costs to a ffl.
