The British army used this rifle throughout the Napoleonic wars and in the War of 1812. The Mexican government purchased large numbers of Baker Rifles that were used at the Battle of the Alamo. The British 95th Regiment carried these rifles at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. Our Baker Rifle has a Case-hardened frizzen that throws plenty of sparks and reduces misfires. It has a 1/16th-inch touch-hole. It is test-fired with a charge of 65 grains of FF Pyrodex primed with 7 grains of FFF Pyrodex. The Flint and leather keeper we use to test fire are included.
