Description:
This is a model 1884 Springfield Trap door in 45-70 govt with a ramrod spike bayonet. The bore is shinny with some dark rust spots. The Serial # places it being manufactured in the late summer of 1891 which matches the cartouche on the stock that is 1891. This trap door is in good condition for the age. I personally really like the butt stock sliding cover on the "tool holder" instead of the thumb nail killing spring loaded round cover. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions
