This is a fine example of a Smith and Wesson First Model Second issue .22 Rf 7 shot Civil War Era Pistol often carrird by members of both sides as an eaisly conceled back up gun. . This in overall excellent condition. 98+ original silver plate frame The blue barrel barrel assembly has virtually no loss but is turning a darker blue color. The bore is bright and shiney with sharp lands and grooves and appears little wear, but some very minor pitting. The grips are the original rosewood grips with the matching serial number stamped inside. Mechanically it is excellnt. It rotates, indexes and locks up. . The gun comes cased in a nice vintage wood case whose interior has been replaced at sometime. Overall this is a nice collectors quality piece at a very affordable price.
