Here are 39 rounds ( lost one) of 40-70 Sharps Straight. Bought by mistake of course and someone else can benefit from my lack of doing homework.
Here is the description on Buffalo Arms site. I did however get the right ones and they are game droppers. Great stuff out of Buffalo Arms.
This is currently manufactured obsolete black powder cartridge rifle ammunition for 40-70 Sharps Straight chambered firearms listed below. Using a .408" 400 grain bullet, SPG lubed, 20-1 alloy (item #410663.408) and loaded with Swiss Black Powder. The brass is reformed from 30-40 Krag cases (item #4070SSSTD) with a rim thickness of ~.065" and is 2 1/2" long. Bullets are cast from the Lyman mould 410663. This ammunition is suitable for Shiloh Sharps rifles. SOME of the 1877 Sharps made by Axtell, C. Sharps rifles and CPA 44 1/2 Stevens rifles.
