Description:
1926 Colt SAA chambered in 38/40 with a 7.5 inch barrel and blue/color cased finish. Per the included Colt archive letter it was shipped May 25, 1926 to Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a no excuses collector grade gun. The numbers match on the frame, grip frame, cylinder, and grips. Please note that the grip frame pin is missing that locksthe grip panels into place but the grips still hold tight on it. This is one of the best finishes that you will ever find on the Pre War single action. The original bluing still retains all of its deep dark shine and the color casing is brilliant. It is really worth studying the photos on the color casing and you'll have to ask yourself when is the last time you saw one like this that has zero fading. The finish is near perfect and overall it rates a strong 99% +. The cylinder face is very clean. The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. All four clicks are crisp and the lock up is tight. The grips are exceptional with sharp checkers throughout. This near century old single action will be almost impossible to upgrade.
