M1 Garand by Springfield Armory Serial Number 1633481 Manufactured May-June 1943.
Other than having a replacement stock this rifle appears to be "as issued" or correct.
with all parts Springfield (SA) including the barrel 5-43 which still has plenty of available life remaining.
The erosion gauge shows Throat (TE) at # 4 while the Muzzle (ME) shows #2. Not bad for an 80 year old barrel.
That may have some stories to tell.
