SN: 29796. Made circa 1940's. 7.7 jap with a 26"" barrel. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Japanese Type 99. Receiver and barrel are in very good condition retaining approximately 90% of factory blue. Markings on the left side of the receiver indicate this rifle was made at the Kokura Arsenal. Chrysanthemum is still present on the top of the receiver with an X through it due to Japanese soldiers being ordered at the end of the war to deface the symbol as it represented the emperor. Stock is in very good condition with light handling wear, stock has been refinished. Overall very good example of a Type 99. CONSIGNMENT.
