Description:
A beautifully carved Antler showing Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Ghost of Christmas Present, with the pommel made of Antler (Reindeer Antler ?) mounted on very sturdy thorn wood shaft with brass finial. This piece features a Santa Claus face surrounded by a wreath and on the revers side the full body of the right Jolly Old Elf. With all this carved by a most talented artist. There are no chips and no cracks, and all very stable and have been that way for a century and likely will be for a century or more. Late 19th century. Distinguished by a creamy and uniform patina covering this piece with character. This beautiful quality handle is 2 1/4 inches high x 6 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. The O.L. is 34 inches, it has minimal signals of use, surviving in pristine condition without dents or chips, the condition is perfect. Other items shown are not included.
